![]() ![]() I can PM you my email and phone number to talk more extensively. The EOS switch in Data East is normally closed (NC) and should remain closed until the flipper reaches full travel and opens the switch, signalling the flipper board to drop the power stroke voltage (50v) to hold voltage (9 volts). You can just buy the replacement red plastic actuator as well, or put in complete flipper rebuild kits (my solution). ![]() They do tend to wear, so you may be able to turn it around so fresh plastic is touching the switch at end-of-stroke. That red plastic post is supposed to open the EOS switch when the flipper reaches full travel. It seems to always divert the ball to the right flipper. The shaker motor does not seem to work at all.Ĥ) When you shoot the ball up the ramp there is a diverter that diverts the ball to either the right or left flipper. It is not an issue until a player is given another free ball.ģ) Shaker motor. To get that ball removed I need to remove the playfield glass unscrew the top of the pop bumper and manually push the ball onto the playfield. The ball lodges it self between the far left pop bumper and the playfield post near the upper side of that bumper. It automatically shoots the ball out into the play field. I inspected the red piece of plastic that depresses the EOS switch for that flipper and it seemed to be melted.Ģ) If the ball drains immediately without scoring any points Jurassic park gives you that ball over. ![]() Then it goes into this phase where it drops down 1/2 inch and goes up a 1/2 inch in a vibrating manner until the flipper button use is stopped. When I press the button during a flip the bat goes up. all parts are availible from marco.I have 4 issues with a Jurassic Park that I cannot troubleshoot.ġ) The right flipper "chatters". solder back in good tested parts in the direction that they came out. open or shorted parts need to be replaced. next use the other test lead to the center lead and repeat process. testing the transistors put one test lead on the center lead and the other test lead to each of the outer leads. test diodes in each polarity direction, 1 small resistance reading in 1 direction is correct. tape each part to a paper but not covering leads and mark the paper with each part #. unsolder and remove parts one at a time and watch were the white band on diodes and metal tab on transisters direction in were they came out to re-install them in the proper direction. to properly test parts they need to be unsoldered and removed from board or other parts on the board might give a false reading. also a roll of desoldering braid is needed( availible from radio shack ). i dont know what kind of soldering was used for the coil soldering, but a 25 or 30 watt iron is needed for board work. after removing the flipper board from machine take a pic of it for a visual aid in helping re-installing the parts back in proper direction. the parts for F5 are D11, Q15, and Q16. The pasts that need to be checked for F1 are D1, Q2, and Q3. there may be driver transistors on the flipper board that are weak or bad thats causing the fuse to blow when the flipper coil load is applied or driven. if IDC female connectors are used in your machine they need to be checked for loose wires or connections on the flipper board. ![]() if all the flipper coils have the same part number and the left flipper is working correctly, coil swapping from left to right flippers may be possible to see if the problem moves and to verify that the coils are not the problem. the manual talks about EOS switch theory, these switches are gold point switches and should not be filed, but should be clean and adjusted properly. each flipper has a LED that lights on the flipper board when flipper buttons are pushed, 1 for left and 2 for right. each flipper coil is fused and driven by the flipper board outputs. IF IT’S NOT JURASSIC PARK IT’S EXTINCT Game Play: Where in Jurassic Park do you want to go first It’s up to you Jurassic Park allow you to explore 11 different mini-games. the flipper button switches and the EOS switches are flipper board inputs, and dont get wired directly to the flippers. Jurassic Park Pinball Machine by Data East is based on the Jurassic Park motion picture. of what i see the left flipper has 1 flipper button switch and 1 EOS switch on the flipper assembly, the right flipper has 2 flipper button switches and 1 EOS switch. There isnt any manual for jurassic park availible from PDB to download so i found a manual from TFTC that also has 3 flippers and the flipper board schematic and downloaded that. ![]()
